BREAKING NEWS......A portion of northbound U. S 127 has been closed down due to a chain reaction accident.   It all began after a truck, hauling two trailers, blew a tire, causing one of the trailers to spill its load.  That load.....human waste!

It happened around 5 o'clock on the roadway near the Trowbridge Road exit.

Other motorists, including a motorcyclist, were caught off-guard by the slick roadway and crashed.  Reports indicate one vehicle rolled after hitting a guardrail,  but amazingly the driver received only minor injuries.

The biker wasn't so lucky.  He was transported to the hospital for treatment.

WILX-TV is reporting that Lansing Township Fire Officials say there is no health risk since the 'waste' had been treated before loaded for transport.

The roadway will likely be closed for at least a couple more hours while the clean up continues.

Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes.
