(Ingham County)  For the second time in as many days, Ingham County officials are investigating a bank robbery--at the same company.   But information from one on one of those suspects could be closing the books on a number of robberies in the Lansing area and across the state.

A PNC bank on Mt. Hope Road in Lansing was the latest to be hit by a thief.  It happened Tuesday morning around 11 o'clock.  This suspect is described as a black male with a slight build wearing a hooded sweatshirt with a Nike logo.  Officials are circulating video surveillance tape now in hopes of finding someone who can identify him.

Meanwhile, it was less than a day earlier, that another man held up the PNC branch in Okemos, near Lansing.  His case made headlines after a chase into Shiawassee County where he was run off the road along I-69.

He took shelter in a deer blind nearby but when officers entered the shack some 8 hours later they found he had hanged himself.

That suspect, who has not yet been identified publically, has apparently raised the interest of other communities investigating other robberies wanting to know if he could have been involved in those as well.

While officials are giving no specifics on just where those robberies occured, they say they were in the Lansing area as well as other parts of Michigan.
