It's another warning for residents in well populated areas of Mid-Michigan. Coyotes are well established in the local eco-system.

WILX.com reports that another coyote sighting happened in a residential area of East Lansing near Patriarche Park, along King Court. This sighting is the latest in a string of reports in Lansing Area neighborhoods.

Beware that coyotes can threaten pets, including cats and dogs. Coyotes are predatory by nature, typically in search of small game. Michigan Department of Natural Resources officials recommend removing bird feeders and other feed that attracts the favorite prey of coyotes. Trash should also be kept inside.
