Afraid to Shop?

It seems hard to believe that some would be afraid to leave their home and go shopping for Christmas, but apparently a new game is causing some concern for safety.  The so-called "knock-out" game is where a person is blindsided by an attacker determined to knock them to the ground...and ultimately, to knock them out.  That game has caused some to rethink their annual trip to the mall.  There's not much you can do to stop felons like these from striking, but you can be more aware of your surroundings.  Don't shop alone if  you can avoid it, and leave checking your cellphone for messages until you're safely back in your vehicle.  To avoid shopping--which is part of the fun of holiday season--is to bow to these criminals.  Be aware...but don't be afraid.
