A proposal that would increase the minimum wage to more than $9 an hour in Michigan could end up on a statewide ballot. Supporters are reviewing this now and it's being reported a decision will likely be made soon if this will be pursued. The wage was increased to $7.40 an hour about six years ago in Michigan. That was the last time it was done. State lawmakers have discussed legislation that would call for a minimum wage of at least $10 an hour but so far no action has been taken.
