The State Board of Education is looking over a plan that would do away with zero tolerance policies in Michigan schools. In fact the board is considering changing the regulations by suggesting schools only suspend students for things regarded as severe. As it is now under the zero tolerance system kids can be expelled for things some would consider minor. Many say these policies have not achieved expected results.

Before any final decisions are made the State Board says officials will get reaction from parents, teachers and administrators.
