According to data from the U.S. Census Bureau, one in five young adults are living in poverty and have much lower rates of employment when compared with their counterparts from 1980.  One in seven young adults lived in poverty in 1980

As I have been saying on my show, the policies that this administration has been following have not been working — and a good portion of this increase, I believe, is due to those policies.

The data comes from a new Census release called “Young Adults: Then and Now,” which “illustrates characteristics of the young adult population (ages 18-34) across the decades using data from the 1980, 1990 and 2000 Censuses and the 2009-2013 American Community Survey.”

Along with the above revelations, we also found out that 46 million of Americans are on food stamps and 65% of children live in households on federal aid programs.

So, the question we must ask ourselves is, "Why is this happening?" If not for the current administrations policies, then why?
