The Associated Press is reporting that the incident occured around 7:30 at Franklin Regional High School ihn Murrysville.  All of the victims are between the ages of 14 and 17.

A male suspect reportedly entered the school and began stabbing victims in the hallway.  Most received stab wounds but others were injured trying to flee the scene.

That student, who's name has not been released, was taken into custody and is being questioned on what may have prompted the attack.  It is being reported by Fox News that he is a sophomore.

The report indicates the high school has just over 1,200 students.  The elementary and middle schools are housed in another complex.  They were sent home, though, as a precaution.

There is no indication as yet on what a possible motive was or whether certain students were targeted.
